Product description

100th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolu

The topic is an attempt to consider the history of Russia, from a cultural-psychological point of view, an ordinary philistine of the Soviet Union living in the modern world. The philistine glance from another century, even another millennium, on the historical milestones that led Russia by October 17th, for possible reasons that in many ways contributed to the victory of the revolution and the retention of power by the Bolsheviks during the seventy years of the twentieth century. In the essay there is no analytically linear construction in the presentation of well-known historical facts to all, as there are no examples confirming this or that fact, the whole science of history is involved in this; here is an attempt to express, show the attitude of that mass of society, called the philistines, ordinary ordinary working people of the country, to the story itself, to the motherland, to life itself as a whole, in close connection with the present, real, with which we all, the inhabitants, live day to day. The absence of higher education in the overwhelming majority of the population is more than compensated for by the lively participation in each topic of history under discussion, from the moral and moral point of view that is good and bad in our lives, speaking as generally as possible, starting from the most extreme limits in understanding life and death, good and evil, the meaning of human existence in this world. In the essay there is no clearly expressed plan of conclusions and evidence, there are no definitive answers, but there are many questions to the present, asked in the provocative manner of the “common knowledge” of the average person, his confidence in the only correctness of everyday life for the whole range of life issues, therefore the essay begins, from the furthest edge of the pre-life, what is life and what is death, what is murder and murderer, what is sacrifice and sacrifice, how it all could lead to the twentieth century, the most bloody for Russia. The controversy on this topic, in our time is not new at all, but the Russian person has not yet made a final conclusion from his historical experience, and this is another attempt to show an angle for contemporaries, from the position of an average person, from the position of “common sense”, not leaving on the side of the scientific and generally accepted spiritual and religious aspect of the Russian people. “This is a round thinking”, connected not only with knowledge, but also with feeling, a lively attitude to everything that was, what is and what will be, and developing such a solid position from which the state can repel oneself, and with which goals and objectives can be distinguished for the people of the future who are urgently required by modernity. “The writer is not a reliable interpreter of his work, and to say what he wrote is often with less certainty than any of his attentive readers ... And it’s wise to explain in a nutshell ... what, in the extreme writing of the writer, requires a hundred pages »P.A. Florensky.
